| One day in a small farm, there were two frogs jumping around the
milking parlour. They came across a bucket, half-full of milk and jumped
right in. The milk tasted so good that they drank and drank until it was
all gone. Their friends turned up and looked in the bucket. They were
not happy that they had drank all of the milk without sharing.
One of them noticed the farmer coming and told the two frogs in the
bottom of the bucket, "You are for it now. The farmer will not be
happy that you have drunk all his milk."
The two frogs started jumping to get out of the bucket. Unfortunately
they were so full of milk that they couldn't jump high enough. The frogs
on the outside started shouting and jeering. "Serves you right for
not sharing." "The farmer is sure going to fix you two."
You will never get out of that bucket."
One of the frogs, caught up in his despair just sat at the bottom of
the bucket, waiting for his eventual fate. The other frog however just
kept on jumping. He tried every way he knew to get out of the bucket;
standing jumps, running jumps, jumping and scrambling. Finally he just
managed to get his front legs onto the rim of the bucket and pulled
himself out.
The first frog had given up because of the negative hostility of his
friends. The second frog however was a bit deaf - he thought the crowd
was cheering him on, so kept on trying.
Thoughts:
Don't let the comments of others put you off, use them as a spur to
achieve your dreams. Learn from your mistakes and try new things.
Failure is not when you get knocked down - failure is when you don't get
back up. Sometimes though it is hard to keep getting back up. Sometimes
you can hear the shouts of the crowd telling you that you will never
